A picture is worth a thousand words, so a video is probably worth a few thousands more. I'll try to keep this blog post short so you can watch the new tutorial videos we've released!
The first video focuses on the Google Calendar API. I go over how to get started using the JavaScript client library to interact with Google Calendar, and show a demo of the recently launched Interactive Developer Guide:
The second video focuses on the Google Spreadsheets API. My colleague Jeff Scudder presents a nifty demo on how to use a Google Spreadsheet as a virtual database with an extension he wrote for the Python client library (if this seems familiar, it's because Jeff gave it as a talk at PyCon!):
Enjoy!

I must be too new at all of this. At the 2:00 minute mark, he starts using a command line interface. What is that? Is that a python thing, or standard command.com? I honestly don't know.
I am currently working on a large project and find these videos helpful. Google API's are fantastic... providing solutions to relatively complex tasks. Thanks Google!
Hi Chad, the command line interface is the interactive Python interpreter. Thank you for asking :)
Thanks, Jeff.
Are there any resources that can help me use Google Spreadsheets and Zend by going through the training on how to use them from A to Z without skipping half the alphabet by assuming I already know how to use this or that? I'm really new at this, and I seriously don't know how to get the knowledge that I'm missing.
I know of a couple of resources that might be a good place to start with PHP and the Google Spreadsheets API:
Getting started with our Zend_Gdata PHP library
Tutorial/Samples using Spreadsheets API with the PHP Zend_Gdata library
We also have a discussion group for the Google Spreadsheets API and the Google Documents List API which is a great place to ask specific questions. You can find it here:
